About this Wiki
We will use this wiki space as a hub of information for the course that anyone in our class can edit. It also provides me with a platform that enables us to co-architect the class together as we deem necessary. For instance, you will be able to compose free-writes and homework, comment on your peers' writing, and upload materials. It will also allow me to transcribe class notes, comment on your work, as well as make speedy revisions to the syllabus, assignment sheets, and homework schedules. Please feel free to post links that will be helpful to the course, and/or use the space to collaborate with your peers.
Current Assignment: The Research Portfolio (4/16-5/7)
(See the Research Portfolio Assignment Sheet)
*What counts as 4th hour justification? See the syllabus and recall our in-class discussion about arts, service, professionalism events related to your academic discipline or career choice. Check the Spelman Calendar. You must not simply document the activity that you do. Rather, each entry should describe what you did, as well as present a reflection of how the event contributed to your personal and professional growth. For examples, look in the archives.

Creating your "Wiki-Blog"
If you look at the side bar, you will see a folder that corresponds to YOUR COURSE, which will then direct you to certain units of the course. Please click on that folder to access your materials. You will also see a folder with your hacker name. These folders are your 'wiki-blog,' and will contain page(s) that you will create in responses to free-writing, homework, and major paper drafting activities.
Note: Your assessment in this class depends on how you organize this folder, as your methods of arrangement influence your credibility as a writer. Moreover, the content will be evaluated for its analytical quality? Do you identify the purpose of your response, connect it to texts/authors, accurately discuss the reasoning informing their claims, present your own claims, and defend them with the use of evidence that persuasively demonstrates their validity?
